Reason #51 The 6 minutes that started a revolution

All this talk of revolution, this is more of that story...

Is it possible for someone to come into other peoples’ lives for 6 minutes and be truly life-changing? Is it possible for them to do so via media?

If I did not witness it myself, I might be doubtful. However, I have seen it personally.  Even more powerful is that I continue to see it every day, in action.

Candy Chang stepped into of our classroom inn her Ted talk ten days ago. Her presence is still there. Her energy, her story, her inspiration is with all of us and is motivating more than a hundred students to create a shift in our school with their own passion.

The fact that so many other people were so inspired that they created a transformation in their own communities created an understanding that they could do the exact same thing.  And they can connect to the WORLD! My students know that they can do this. It shows in their energy and hearts.

Relationships never end.  This is evidence of that!

Thank you to Candy for stepping out and working to connect her community and in doing so has connected to the world!

Here is my students' vision for the side of the math building:

Merci François pour la photo!  C’est super !  J'aime ton énergie et ton esprit!

To have the opportunity to watch a revolution unfold from the first moment...

This is why I teach!
