This is a big week. On Friday I picked up the
Purchase Order for project supplies. It is official: we have the funding to
start painting! I have the supply list and PO to take to the store. Tuesday is the big shopping day and then we
will start some prep work Wednesday after school. Then Thursday and Friday are the big days.
Can we do it? Can we get it done it two days?
How is this all going to work? I haven’t had a
real plan up to now. Things have just evolved and so far, so good.
What an image: 50ish kids + primer, paint,
rollers, brushes, stucco repair stuff, stencils, buckets, ladders (me only
there), spray paint, chalk….oh my! Some peoples' nightmare is actually our dream!
I can imagine….paint everywhere….hands, hair,
clothing, spatters, spills… It actually sounds like lots of fun! How could it not be?
What an experience. It is truly life-changing! For us all! This is all coming together.
